It's Beginning..

To look a lot like Christmas!
Silas has been ready to put up our tree since Jessica's birthday, Nov. 4. I had to put him off for a while. But we got some great pictures beside our new tree this year. Enjoy this time of preparation for the Christmas week.

Yeah, well I had some help...my neighbors put all their outside lights up after Christmas and so my kids began with the questions...when are we getting ready. Thanks neighbors for the motivation!

Everyone thinks we are only ready on the inside and when are we going to be ready on the outside???

Hi! You don't know me, but I read what you wrote on Jessica's 80's post and felt that I just HAD to write to you. You mentioned the song "Nobody" by Sylvia. That was my favorite song when I was younger and I haven't heard it in like 20 years. Then last night, I remembered it and wanted to hear it so I went and listened to it on YouTube. I STILL love that song and haven't been able to get it out of my head. Just wanted to let you know that there is another fan of that song out there. Take care. Jessica's friend, Linda

I wanted to follow up with a comment after reading Linda's comment above... I loved that song by Sylvia... when I was in... 4th grade! I hopped onto youtube and enjoyed a trip down memory lane... couldn't believe I actually remembered some of the words (and I must add that that was probably the only non-Christian song I knew at that age... secular music was not allowed in my house, but for some reason my mother allowed my friend and me to check out Sylvia's *RECORD* from the library). So, thanks Wendy and Linda for that trip down memory lane! :) (BTW, Linda, I discovered by looking at your blog that I went to school with your husband... in 5th grade, and I think 6th and 7th as well... funny... small world.)

I have noticed you on Jessica's blog too. We will have to meet next time I am back east.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day!
