I should have included this receipe on the post with the cookies. Alas I am very slow, however here it is not too far behind the post! Scroll down a bit to see the pics. These are by far the yummiest chocolate chip I have found so far!

Chocolate Chip Cookies (from Incredible Edible Gluten-free Food for Kids)

Ingredients
½ c butter
½ c shortening
¾ c packed brown sugar
¾ c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
2 c rice flour
¾ c tapioca flour
½ c potato starch flour
1 tsp xanthan gum
1 tsp salt
2 c chocolate chips
1 c nuts (opt)

Directions
1. In a mixing bowl, beat the shortening and butter with a mixer on medium speed for about 30 sec
2. Add brown sugar, sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and rice flour. Beat until creamy and thoroughly combined.
3. Beat in the tapioca flour, potato starch, xanthan gum, and salt.
4. With a spoon, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts
5. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 in. apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375-degree oven for 9-12 min. or until the edges are lightly browned. Remove immediately and place on wire rack to cool. Store in a plastic zip-style bag or airtight container.

Now I know...

Fertilizer really does work! Yes folks, this is my back yard. When I was putting down fertilizer to save our lawn I realized I was running low and it was supposed to do the whole lawn. So, to make it stretch over more of the lawn I began to do big swirling passes over the grass. Well, what you see is the end result from Chloe's bedroom. Go ahead laugh out loud! I do everytime I look at the lawn. So you see, it really does work to fertilize your lawn. You just need to cover it all!

So for Mother's Day, my kind-hearted sister cleaned my house. It was a disaster! But check out the beautiful vase with a home-grown tulip in it. She is really the best sister ever and I am most blessed to call her mine...

Ok, everyone quick pray...I am purging my house and can't find my cord to hook the camera to the computer. I have some really funny pics and have moved furniture around...so please pray this cord turns up or my blog will get even more borin than it is now, lol!!

YEAH!!!!! Reaghan is coming, Reaghan is coming...
We are so excited that we will see Reaghan for a whole two weeks! This includes a trip down to TX and hang out time here. Chloe says thank you for coming for a more than four in a row sleep over. Can't wait to see you.
