Two More Days

So there are two more days until Christmas, or as Amy and I said, "It's Christmas Eve Eve!". I hope everyone is ready to celebrate the birth of our only hope for this world, Jesus Christ. I also do hope that you are surrounded by friends and family and lots of fun gifts. Afterall, God started the whole gift thing!

I always have many thoughts this time of year. What will I do better next year, what will I not do next year...resolutions I guess. They don't stick, they don't work. Last year I thought I would do the flylady system. It sounds so good and seems to work for everyone on the website...basically I just read the emails and read the suggestions without getting up and doing them. So, this year I want to actually apply more of what I am learning on a regular basis.
So, I am writing for you all to read and ask as the year goes on, how's it going? I want to improve my lazy system for keeping and managing my home. I want to be consistent with training my children. I want to get up earlier than I do now. Finally, I want to be more self controled with my money.

How's that for shooting for the moon! I know that I didn't get where I am overnight, and it will be a process to improve, but I do need to but some action to my desire or nothing will change. So, as you think of me this coming year and as you visit my blog, ask, please how I am doing! I would love the help and encouragement.

Snowy Day

Our first Sledding trip ended in the flu. The kids had a great time going downhill with friends. Jessica didn't want to sled althougth I think she didn't want to admit that it was fun when I took her down.

We came home and I promptly came down with the flu. Complete with shakes and high fever. Isaac got it next and now Silas is down. Although the Tamiflu has kept his case pretty light. We are hopeful that there will be no more sickness as we get closer to grandparents visits and the BIG DAY!!
