Two More Days

So there are two more days until Christmas, or as Amy and I said, "It's Christmas Eve Eve!". I hope everyone is ready to celebrate the birth of our only hope for this world, Jesus Christ. I also do hope that you are surrounded by friends and family and lots of fun gifts. Afterall, God started the whole gift thing!

I always have many thoughts this time of year. What will I do better next year, what will I not do next year...resolutions I guess. They don't stick, they don't work. Last year I thought I would do the flylady system. It sounds so good and seems to work for everyone on the website...basically I just read the emails and read the suggestions without getting up and doing them. So, this year I want to actually apply more of what I am learning on a regular basis.
So, I am writing for you all to read and ask as the year goes on, how's it going? I want to improve my lazy system for keeping and managing my home. I want to be consistent with training my children. I want to get up earlier than I do now. Finally, I want to be more self controled with my money.

How's that for shooting for the moon! I know that I didn't get where I am overnight, and it will be a process to improve, but I do need to but some action to my desire or nothing will change. So, as you think of me this coming year and as you visit my blog, ask, please how I am doing! I would love the help and encouragement.

on truth about food book

Wendy I love the book it is really interesting. They do all these food experiments and explain them. not really a how to book but you could apply a lot of the science behind the experiments and the truths they unfold to your diet and lifestyle. If you have dish or cable they run this in a program form on Discovery Health Channel. I saw that it is about to come up again soon on my tivo so you might want to check this week or next. the programs are really great to watch. I am just a geeky science nerd when it comes to nutrition and health topics so i really enjoyed the show and wanted the book. It is a lot of information so I find it helpful to have the book to reference.
