We had three robins in our front tree today. It is so fun to see the first robin of spring. I love it. One of my favorite things is the first sighting and the anxious waiting for the beginning of my favorite season. The waiting our here takes extra long because there are times when it still snows the beginning of May. Maybe this year will be a quicker entrance to the spring season. Every season has stuff I love, but spring is my favorite. This year I want to plant something new. My friend is giving me a lilac bush so I want to plant that and some flowers.
We also have a squirrel family that lives in our column outside our front door. Unfortunately the squirrels scare off the birds. I can't wait to say good riddance to the squirrels and welcome back to the birds.

Ohhh, we HATE squirrels. We have way too many of them around here! The last two winters they managed to get inside our chimney and into our fireplace (our fireplace was changed over to gas burning logs some years ago and the chimney was blocked off, so this took some effort from the squirrels). One quite clever squirrel figured out how to open the fireplace doors and explored part of our house! Thankfully I coaxed him to jump out a window (after I completely freaked out)!!! Jeff fixed the chimney and so far they haven't broken in this year. But their wrath is not over... yesterday when the kids were outside playing, I discovered that our backyard is infested with FLEAS! We're guessing the main culprit is all the squirrels. WE HATE SQUIRRELS!!! Good luck on shooing yours off! :-)

Oh my, I didn't realize I left the same comment twice... I'm not sure how that happened. Feel free to delete one. :-)
This comment is in response to the question you left on my homeschooling blog. I wanted to let you know that I answered your question on my blog in case anyone else had a similar question.
Yeah.....I love baby squirrels...I know they are a pain...but I once found a baby squirrel and it was adorable even though they are pests! When you kick them out...tell me if you find a baby:)
It's been pretty 'spring-like' around here this past week... I love it! It was so warm the other day ( low 80's) I was so inspired, I went for a walk and then rode my bike to teach!
Wow! That is great Jessica! I know that one day the world will thaw and I will ride my bike. Our back yard takes forever to melt. So there is still at least 3 inches of snow back there. Today should be warmer.
