COLD

It is so cold here. I am cold just thinking about how cold it is. At seven this morning Charlie said "oh look it's warmed up...it was 1.6 degrees outside, now it is 2.3!" It snowed all day yesterday and it is too cold for it to accumulate it just blows around.
I need fresh ideas for children inside for days on end...
Jessica is trying to keep warm.

Oh so cold. I don't like it when it's that cold! Our weather had gotten to a chill index of 6 and I thought that was awful.

Ideas for inside? Drawing or coloring or painting. Movies. Making cookies. Making tents with bedsheets and pretending you're eskimos hiding out in your igloos or somewhere in Africa or something :) having them run around in circles. Hot cocoa.

...so now that I've filled up a whole hour tell me what you come up with! Winter is such a hard time when kids are contained...

Hugs,

JL

Perhaps try browsing this website:
http://unplugyourkids.blogspot.com/ It looks like her kids are similar in age to yours.

It's not nearly as cold here (thankfully... I HATE being cold!!!), but I know I certainly need to get better at coming up with fun art projects. The TV is just soooo easy to turn on. ("Bad mom, bad mom!"... talking to myself.)

Have any good ideas for art projects for both a 5 yr. old and a 21 mo. old?

Jessica,

I would love a Rickards/Rockey fix!! Bring it on! Any work trips out west coming up? Charlie is still talking Nov for us...Thanksgiving and Christmas back east. And of course the visits to VA Beach and a friend in Baltimore...

Liz, try creations with toothpicks and gum drops! They were fun.
